A recent investment, this one I just didn’t have time to pay attention to it – and, as it turns out, neither did my business partner.
ValiusWP is a WordPress based service business that showed up FOR SALE on Flippa in 2018. They offer maintenance services for WordPress sites at one flat rate per month.
The sellers were asking a LOT for the business and, given its growth rate and revenues, just wasn’t worth it.
But, I made them a counter offer for a 50% stake in the business, recapitalizing it with a cash infusion for marketing purposes.
They accepted – but, as it turns out, there was a MAJOR communication issue.
The remaining business partner was not in a position to do what I thought he would do.
So the business has stagnated.
And there it remains to this day…
